This #GivingTuesday, we’re highlighting a very special tenant. Meet Giving the Glam, the business providing memorable prom experiences for underserved urban and suburban high school seniors. π
Helmed by Maristela Rapo, who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she was inspired to launch the business alongside her daughter, Alexis, covering the cost of attire and accessories for students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it.
βThere were many times when I couldn’t participate in certain activities because my family couldn’t afford them,β she told IN Boston Magazine. Her experiences and love for fashion inspired her to found the nonprofit as a way to give back.
