As an artist, I strive to capture the interplay of light and color. I’m inspired by the beauty that surrounds me—whether it’s an expansive seascape framed by mountains or the quiet simplicity of flowers in a vase. I paint loosely and quickly, allowing energy and movement to emerge on the canvas. I embrace the physicality of paint, letting each brushstroke reveal both the immediacy of the moment and the hand of the artist.

I fell in love with art as a high school student and went on to major in art history in college. After graduation, I worked for several years at a gallery on Newbury Street in Boston, where I immersed myself in the art world and began collecting paintings by artists I admired. That experience gave me a close-up view of what it meant to be an artist and the chance to study works firsthand by modern American masters such as Milton Avery and Fairfield Porter. The work of others became my inspiration to begin painting. Over the years, I have studied with various teachers, taken courses at the DeCordova Museum, MassArt, and RISD, as well as with individual artists.
